The mantra of Cassie McCoy is "work with what you have." Being raised by a working-class Midwestern family of artists and workaholics, Cassie’s gritty, creative path was destined. The Midwest allows her to work on a large scale blank canvas; The empty, nostalgic space has given a voice to her style and called her to think larger than life. Working only with analog creative tools, Cassie found her first film camera in 2022 at a thrift store for a lowly six bucks. This camera launched her into a new world, inspiring her to create art that lets herself and others feel seen through vulnerability. The driven, ecstatic people person is an artist who is always hungry for her next opportunity, yet allows the unpredictable waves of life to lead her to her next destination.
